Immediate, total abolition — no exceptions
Ferndale is Woodward Avenue's most-progressive Detroit-adjacent suburb — a dense, walkable city with the DIY Street Fair, First Friday art walks, and one of Michigan's most active LGBTQ communities. Politically it runs deep-Democratic; culturally it's the anti-Royal-Oak (older, weirder, more artistic).
The abolitionist argument in Ferndale is a minority position by design. But the city is home to Planned Parenthood on Woodward — the highest-volume PP in southeast Michigan — and a church network that includes Baptist, Catholic, and traditional Lutheran congregations that have never accepted the pro-choice framework. Abolition here is the case for the church against the culture, made in the city where the culture is most self-consciously secular.

Abolition of abortion means the immediate, total end of abortion, criminalized as homicide, with no exceptions, from the moment of fertilization. See our What we believe section for the biblical and constitutional case.
